I know you've been watching the news of the fires just like we have.  Hopefully all is well.  Time for a not so gentle reminder to make sure your fire insurance is in place and you have enough coverage.  Take the time right now to find that policy, make a copy of it and store it someplace other than your home.  It's also a great time to take pictures around the house.  Get that digital camera working and click away inside drawers with valuables, closets, the garage, the trunk of the car, the back yard, the kitchen cabinets.  Any and every thing you can think of.  Then STORE THE PHOTOS ON A CD SOMEPLACE OTHER THAN YOUR HOUSE!!  Make a copy and send it to your kids or parents, brother or sisters - someplace out of the way!!!
